- Class Description:
- This course is designed to provide Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development students with the tools necessary to develop a career management plan to become successful business and marketing professionals. Students may have experienced or explored a variety of career development activities earlier in their education. The approach of this course is to tailor the learning to the specific profession and practice of BME and HRD majors. Students will reflect on their personal career goals, evaluate their career readiness, and craft a career management plan. Integral to this course is the student's introduction, exploration, and preparation to secure and engage in the required applied internship experience (OLPD 4696). This course is a prerequisite to OLPD 4696: Applied Experience and provides critical knowledge, understanding, and activities needed before engaging in a student's experiential learning through the applied internship.
