Exercises, role play. Creating customized leadership development plan. prereq: CSOM Grad student or dept consent
- Class Notes:
- This course is designed to serve graduate students who have several years of full-time work experience where they have had the opportunity to influences others. It is not required that you have formal direct reports but rather that you have had experience in your jobs where you are more effective when successful in upward influence, lateral influence, and/or downward influence. While we will discuss conceptual approaches and best practices of leadership, the course is primarily data-driven and experiential with the goal of helping you understand your goals and behavioral patterns that can improve the scope and quality of your influence. The compressed 3 day format of this course is made possible by thoughtful completion of substantial pre-work, including a high-quality 360-degree feedback assignment (details sent one month before Day 1). Prereq: MBA or HRIR MA student or dept consent. Credit cannot be granted if credit has been received for HRIR 6465 Approximately 5-7 hours of prework will be expected to be completed prior start of the course and will be assigned during A term. Closes to enrollment on 9/27/24
