- Class Notes:
- This class will meet 5/23 - 5/27, M-F, 8-5pm. Class sessions will be integrated throughout the week with career and networking opportunities fulfilling the residency requirements in the Online MBA program. Part-Time MBA students are also welcome to register. This interactive course provides an opportunity to develop your understanding of effective leadership and foster your own development. Although course content is informed by leadership theory and empirical evidence, our focus is on understanding your personal leadership strengths and vulnerabilities through feedback while developing your leadership skills through practice. Students will actively participate in discussions and exercises, reflect on behaviors, chart ways to advance personal and professional priorities, and create a customized leadership development plan. The immersive, interactive, and compressed format of this in-residence class is made possible by thoughtful completion of substantial pre-work, including participating in a 360-degree feedback assessment in the weeks preceding the residency (details of which will be sent one month before Day 1). Pre-work also allows students to devote more of their time while on campus to building connections and taking advantage of professional development activities. The key and final deliverable for the course, your personalized leadership development plan, is due 1-week after the Residency. Registration for this class will close on April 23, 2022, after which instructor permission is required.
