Class Notes:
SLE Programs only. 2 credits Teaching Reading for Language Development, ILP CI 5150 is a course for language teacher candidates (ESL, World Language). It provides research-based theory, processes, and strategies to enhance reading instruction in a multilingual context. The course will address emergent multiligualism in elementary settings, as well as for students with limited or interrupted formal education (SLIFE). This course meets PELSB standards that require new licensees to understand comprehensive, scientifically based reading instruction (see statute 122A.06, Subdivision 4). This is a blended course and meets both in-person and online via zoom
