When open seats appear full, other interested CBS students should get on the wait list. This course will take place on the UMNTC Minneapolis, East Bank Campus.

Course covers the physiology, biochemistry, pathogenesis, and ecology of microbes including fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Immunology and molecular structure in relation to microbial function and disease is also covered. Course includes a laboratory. Course will utilize the Moodle website. Course texts: Prescott's Microbiology (McGraw Hill) 9th edition, MICB 3301 Laboratory Manual (Current summer edition). Target audience: undergraduate science majors and pre-professional students (including Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, and Genetics).

60% Other Evaluation Other Grading Information: 60% based on lecture and lecture exams; 40% based on laboratory quizzes, reports and performance
