Achieving organizational goals by leading in ways that create motivation, engagement, commitment, positive social interactions, and job performance. Understanding and managing the characteristics of organizations, work groups, and individuals. The role of group dynamics, decision making, cooperation, conflict, and power in leading others.

Class Description:
This course provides an overview of the management of organizational behavior. As careers advance from the individual contributor to the managerial level, concerns about technical knowledge need to be complemented with knowledge about how to coordinate, motivate, and lead others. Organizational behavior is designed to help provide an integration of your technical skills with the human side of organizations. We will be using research tools from areas like psychology, sociology, and economics as a rigorous foundation, and then extending these foundations with real organizational experiences.
Who Should Take This Class?:
NOTE: This course was previously called Management & Organizational Behavior. The course content is the same and students will not receive duplicate credit for taking this course under both titles.
