In this hands-on, experiential lab, we edit, design, produce, and distribute the 2018 edition of IVORY TOWER, the magazine of art and creative writing by undergraduates at the University of Minnesota--Twin Cities. To inform our work, we will read and study several classics of the field, from theoretical essays to practical manuals. We will solicit and read submissions; write grants, budgets, and schedules; promote the magazine through partnerships and social media; and more. Students will write short formal papers, maintain a work journal, and give informal presentations.
