Course Catalog Description:: Practical aspects of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometry. Hands-on experience with 500/600 MHz instruments. Sample preparation/handling, contamination sources, tube/probe options, experiment selection, experimental procedures, software, data processing. prereq: 4331; 4521 recommended; intended for biochemistry majors
Class Notes:: Notice about magnetic fields: The laboratory portion of this course is held in a lab where very strong magnetic fields are present. These magnetic fields may affect cardiac pacemakers and any metallic implants.
