- Class Description:
This course is dedicated to a critical examination of Empire as an epistemology in reading structures of power, particularly looking to cartographies of capitalist formation in spaces categorized as sites of extraction or invisibilized as valueless. It situates historical narratives, stories and literature to engage and utilize Empire as a cartography. We will trace the "site of ruins" as well as the secrecy of (in)tangibility, knowledges and techniques of intervention.
This course focuses on world feminist, women and queer methodology in writing as cultural critique. Tracing not only history of cultural production, an embodied living, but also the macro positionality of the postcolonial, transnational, Diaspora as a forms of relationality.
