Course Catalog Description:: This course will provide an overview of the areas of exceptionality defined in federal and state regulations. The focus of this course will be on historical perspectives, definitions, etiology, characteristics, needs, and service delivery systems for each area of exceptionality as well as the general educator's role in collaborating with special education personnel in order to meet the needs of students with special needs.
