- Biology of breeding birds through use of field techniques at Itasca Biological Station/Laboratories. Daily fieldwork emphasizes identification, behavioral observations, netting/censusing. prereq: One semester college biology or instr consent

- This course is taught at the UMN Itasca Biological Station and Labs (IBSL), located 220 miles northwest of the Twin Cities campus. Students are required to attend a mandatory orientation on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at IBSL and to pay $796 for housing and meals onsite 5/15/2022 - 6/3/2022. (You will only be charged for room and board once, regardless of how many IBSL field courses you are registered for in this May session.) For each field course there also is a $50 transportation fee and an $88 lab materials fee.
