- Topic title: Pedagogies of Writing Centers, National Writing Project Sites, and Writing Across the Curriculum Programs This course is a seminar exploring the pedagogies used in common sites of writing instruction in higher education: writing centers, National Writing Project sites, and writing across the curriculum programs. The goals of this seminar include learning the history of these extracurricular sites of writing instruction and educator professional development, practicing and reflecting upon collaborative consultation methods used in these sites, investigating current research in the field, and considering how these pedagogies can inform teaching and learning in higher education more broadly. In this seminar, students will have the opportunity to conduct inquiry research into a topic of their choice and to develop a "work in progress" teaching and leadership portfolio..
