Class Description:
This course provides an introduction to financial statements and the financial reporting process. Students learn technical skills necessary to become informed users of financial statements. The course focuses on fundamental accounting concepts and accounting procedures that convert economic events into information reported in financial statements. The course begins by introducing the financial reporting process and then analyzing the accounting and disclosures related to key components of the financial statements.
