Course Catalog Description:: Various authentic Hebrew texts. Comprehension/speaking. Conducted entirely in Hebrew. Emphasizes Modern Israeli Hebrew. Grammar, widening vocabulary. Contemporary short fiction, essays, articles on cultural topics, films, Hebrew Internet sites, TV.
Class Description:: Israel Inside Out - course description

Is China's involvement in Israeli economy dangerous to Israeli security? What were the incentives behind the Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat's visit to the Israeli Knesset? Why did the UAE sign a peace agreement with Israel? How has the fear from Iran been a factor behind this agreement? Why did Israel help Syrian civilians? In what way was the US involved in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon in the 80's? What stands behind Sudan's decision to sign a peace contract with Israel?
This course is designed to discuss Israel's external policies with different countries around the world. Diplomacy, politics, economics, science, arts, medicine, and humanitarian aid are just a few of the topics discussed in this course. We will view these topics from different perspectives and discuss how Israelis view them and how the rest of the world does too.
