- Interdisciplinary course, ranging across spatial, historical, economic, political, and design perspectives, among many others.
- Class Description:
- Drawing from multiple disciplines, this course examines the complexities of urban and metropolitan environments. A breadth of topics is covered amid changing social, political and economic contexts including governance, technology, planning and design concepts, investment and uneven development, citizen activism and cultural representations in art and film. Three project modules with videos, internet mapping projects, and fieldwork, demonstrate concepts-interactively. This is a writing intensive course (3 cr.). Taught fall and spring.
