To earn credit in this course, students must talk with the faculty member and then fill out a Directed Activity Contract (z.umn.edu/Directed_Activity) online. This contract is an agreement between the student and faculty member and should establish expectations, credits, and the grading basis for the work.

- Student-selected clinical or research experience. Students work with faculty and graduate students on research or scholarly/creative activities. Students usually assist with faculty scholarship or carry out projects of their own under faculty supervision.
