- Class Description:
- This is a discussion-based course established as a critique and analysis of values and ethical issues relating to technology. We focus our attention on the public's engagement with technology as we critically evaluate technology's affordances and potential contributions to social problems. An ethical understanding of technology's influence involves the acquisition of insight in order to help us to make decisions about what is good or bad, right or wrong, just or unjust, and to recognize the ambiguity inherent in the public's pervasive use of technology.
