The course utilizes a practical approach to learning vocabulary, grammar, fingerspelling, and cultural aspects through conversational activities. In ASL 1702, students' production and comprehension skills continue to develop qualitatively and quantitatively as they are exposed to a greater variety of interaction activities. Students will study units 5, 7, and 8 in the Signing Naturally Level 1 textbook. Community involvement in the ASL/Deaf community is required outside of class for Fall/Spring (not required for May/Summer Term). prereq: 1701 with grade of at least [S or C-] or dept consent
