- How archaeologists/historians analyze/interpret artifacts to develop knowledge about formation of European society, from earliest evidence of human occupation to Roman Period. Interpreting archaeological evidence from specific sites to understand broad trends in human past.
- Class Description:
- Archaeology of Europe, from a million years ago to the Roman conquests. Topics include Early Stone Age art, first farming villages of the Neolithic, Bronze Age metallurgy and trade, Iron Age urbanism. Among major themes are identity, representation, migration, social change, religious and ritual practice.
