Lectures and movement sessions in biodynamic considerations for optimal dance performance and metabolistic demands of dance. prereq: Dnce major, dept consent
Class Notes:
Students can expect a combination of delivery methods: in person, online, or remote.
Class Description:
This course will cover an introduction to kinesiology and biodynamics of dance. At the end of this course students will be able to apply the knowledge they gain of anatomical, physiological, and biomechanical principles to dance technique, conditioning and injury prevention. Classwork will include lecture, group exploration, readings, class projects, demonstrations, quizzes and a final exam.
