Course Catalog Description:: Meaning of the term "genocide." Particular cases, such as Armenians in the late Ottoman Empire, Jews in the Third Reich, and Muslims in the former Yugoslavia.

Class Description:: What are Human Rights? Who gets to claim them? How have they been enforced, contested and implemented from their inception to the present moment? This course addresses these and related questions through a historical perspective, tracing the origins of Human Rights as a concept, a legal category and a global political concern.
