Course Catalog Description:: This course explores the emergence, meaning, and evolution of the American presidency. We will examine the nature of presidential power and ask how and why those powers have changed over time. We will explore the impact of politics and political parties on the American presidency. We will consider how presidents shape policy and analyze the relationship between power, politics, and policy.
Class Notes:: This course is completely online in a synchronous format. The course will meet online at the scheduled times.
