Course Catalog Description:: This course is an intensive examination of the emergence, growth, and conquest of native civilizations in ancient America, focusing on the Maya, Aztec, and Inca states. Lectures and discussions examine the culture and history of these Native American civilizations, while also introducing students to anthropological theories of the state, religion, aesthetics, and history.
Class Notes:: This course is completely online in an asynchronous format. There are no scheduled meeting times.
