- This lecture is completely online. On Tuesdays, the lecture will meet in a synchronous format at the scheduled time. The remaining lecture will be available in an asynchronous format.

- Introduction to Israeli and Palestinian culture, politics, and society and the central historical events of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.? Studies of Zionist ideology and practice, Palestinian resistance, refugee issues and histories, militarism, human rights, gender and nationalism.? Historical progression from late 19th century to the present? including Middle East Peace Process, Al Aqsa Intifada, Sharon administration.? Use of interdisciplinary materials including anthropological and historical scholarship, human rights reports, popular film, maps, and memoirs.
