Course Catalog Description:: This course examines the evolution of Indian law from colonization onward as impacted by treaties, executive orders, congressional enactments, and the development of federal common law. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of one of the more particularized areas of the law, and acquire the necessary tools to become able practitioners within the field. The course will also focus upon the unique historical experience of the Midwest tribal nations.
