Course Catalog Description:: Students read a variety of authentic texts in Hmong, ranging from traditional folklore, folksongs, stories, research, news articles, and more. Utilizing these authentic texts, students will have in-depth discussions on Hmong literature, vocabulary, language applications and social/cultural structures. In-class discussions focus on language use, social interpretations of texts, and social applications. Class is conducted 80% Hmong, and 20% English. prereq: HMNG 3031 or instructor consent
