Class Description:
This course is the third part of a six-semester sequence in Dance Composition. Classwork consists of learning tools to create dances that express a personal vision, have developed integrity of form and structure and show a pronounced awareness of one's own individual movement vocabulary. Students will continue to broaden their kinesthetic understanding of the nature of movement improvisation and its relationship to choreographic structure. An understanding and appreciation of the creative process and its application to one's self and other art forms will also be discussed and implemented through assignments in movement and writing.
