- Basic grammatical structure, vocabulary, expressions of modern colloquial Korean. Introduces Korean writing system.

- Intensive Korean -- concurrent registration in KOR1012 is REQUIRED. Students not registered for both KOR1011 and KOR1012 for summer session will be automatically dropped.
- Class Description:
- Kor 1011 is the first half of the beginning Korean. This course focuses on the basic grammatical structure, vocabulary, and expressions of modern colloquial Korean. At the beginning of the semester, the Korean writing system, Hangul, will be introduced and simple expressions later on. It is required for each student to have at least one Korean native language partner so that you can immediately use the concepts, grammar and vocabulary we study in class. Application will be available at the Tandem Conversation Partner Program, @ #319 Nolte Hall, MN English Center.
