Course Catalog Description:: Sociolinguistic overview of Spanish-speaking communities in the US; language use patterns in bilingual communities; linguistic characteristics of Spanish in the US; use of Spanish in schools and public life; language ideologies. prereq: 3107W or TLDO 3107 or VENZ 3107 or instr consent.
