Cases illustrating communication studies, theory, underlying issues.
Class Notes:
This class will develop core cultural entrepreneurship skills by contributing to the formation of structures, alliances, and strategies of communication to support the public communication needs of the Department of Communication Studies. By using information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, and communicate information they will also enhance their digital literacy. The workshop serves to help students acquiring the capacities of communication required of cultural entrepreneurs.

Cases illustrating communication studies, theory, underlying issues.
Class Notes:
This course asks students to learn about and assess contemporary controversies about executive authority, including presidential war powers, trade policy, domestic and international surveillance, treaty power and control of the administrative state. Students will apply a number of theories to analyze and evaluate these controversies, including concepts from discursive ethics, public argumentation, public and counterpublics theories, the analysis of social movements, and the traditional rhetorical canon.
