- In this hybrid seminar / workshop, we'll look at some alternative (not "experimental") novel forms, including dramatic monologues, nonfiction-fiction combinations, Shandyistic (cf. Tristram Shandy) narratives, documentary novels, and others. Among the authors we may read I would possibly include Djuna Barnes, Clarice Lispector, Samuel Beckett, John Hawkes, Sheila Heti, William Demby, and others.
