Contemporary theoretical positions and related research. prereq: Psy PhD student
Class Description:
One course in a two-semester course sequence designed to provide graduate students with a systematic overview of the field of social psychology. The course will provide students with grounding in various theoretical perspectives and methodological orientations in the field and with an understanding of how these perspectives guide both intra- and inter-disciplinary research activities. Topics covered in this semester offering include but are not limited to the history of social psychology; research methods; attitude structure and function; social influence and attitude change; social cognition; and the self, personality, and social behavior.
