Course Catalog Description:: War has been a standard tool for organizing societies, settling disputes, and securing resources. The means and meaning of war have changed in important ways over time and we see very different historical outcomes across different societies. This course exams differences in war making across many societies in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa from 10,000 BC to now.
