Class Description:
What does ethnography, the genre of writing that reflects the anthropologist's experience of immersion in the lives of the Other, have anything to do with life itself - "ours" as well as "theirs"? This seminar intends to provide a forum for this question to senior-level students by way of reading select ethnographies deemed "classic."
