- Class Description:
- Korean 1012/4002 is the second half of the Beginning Korean language course. The course is for students who have already mastered some basic level Korean, e.g., greetings, talking about oneself, school, family, daily life, weekend activities, etc. It is designed for those who intend to build mid-beginning level skills in Korean language. The objective of the course is to equip students with communicative skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing with more complex and lengthy structures in Korean. The course provides grammatical patterns and vocabulary necessary for basic conversation, listening, reading, and writing at a mid-beginning level in Korean. It also covers useful information concerning culture and day life in Korea for a better understanding of Korean language. Additionally, speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills will all be emphasized, with special attention to oral proficiency.
