- Course Catalog Description:
- The main goal of this course is to advance students' oral proficiency in Spanish in a variety of genres of spoken discourse, including description, narration, argumentation, explanation, and hypothesizing. In addition, instruction will focus on developing the range of topics about which students can speak and the internal organization of discourse produced by students. These functions are characteristic of speakers at the advanced level of proficiency on the ACTFL scale. Students will engage in a variety of activities, among which are discussions, debates, oral presentations, and analysis of oral speech samples.
