Course Catalog Description:: The course examines the history of Christianity from the 13th century to the end of the 18th century. It begins with the Latin church at the height of its power before moving on to a consideration of the disastrous 14th century, the revolts of the 15th and the Reformations of the 16th centuries. The course closes by considering new challenges facing the church in an age of Enlightenment and Revolution.
