- Second of two-semester sequence. In fall, students identify business opportunity, develop concept, determine resources required, and launch business. In spring, students implement busienss plan, manage business, and determine exit strategy. prereq: 4171
- Class Description:
- This course requires students to conceive, launch, and operate a real business. Students gain hands-on experience with all functional aspects including strategy, sales, marketing, finance, accounting, operations, human resources, supply chain and information technology. The course runs for two semesters, typically during a student's senior year. In the fall, students identify a business opportunity, develop the concept, determine the resources required, and acquire the resources to launch the business. In the spring, the students implement the business plan, manage the business, and determine the exit strategy. NOTE: Application and 2-semester participation required.
