- Class Description:
- Psy 3135 is a 3 credit introduction to the scientific study of what makes individuals unique psychologically. The course explores the genetic and environmental roots of these differences through the lens of evolutionary psychology theory. Students will be introduced to numerous individual differences domains such as sex, personality, intelligence, and attitudes/values. The course also examines how psychologists study these traits and the implications they have for life outcomes (e.g., salary, divorce, longevity, etc). Each week, students attend lectures, complete readings from the textbook and supplementary sources, and take online quizzes to assess their progress.
