- Introductory course in the art and craft of reading and writing literary nonfiction. Students will read and analyze contemporary and classic nonfiction literary works (essays, memoir, biography, autobiography, short-shorts) and also construct and revise their own nonfiction pieces. Students will be responsible for crafting original works of nonfiction; commenting on student work; workshop participation; attendance at a literary reading; short papers and/or presentations; a final portfolio of nonfiction.
