- The goals for this course are (1) to provide an overview of the BSE major with attention paid to how the B, S, and E parts are interrelated; (2) to introduce some of the research and teaching themes of faculty involved in the major; (3) to help you develop or refine your own path through the major; and (4) to provide an opportunity to meet, learn from, and learn about some of your BSE peers.
- Who Should Take This Class?:
- BSE sophomores and juniors, and students considering a major in Biology, Society and Environment. This is a required course for the BSE major.

- Grades are based on attendance and participation in in-class discussion, three short projects, and two short papers.
