Class Description:
FINA6341 focuses on using macro and international economics to analyze the world economy and the implications on business management. The course uses lectures and class discussion to familiarize students with macro and international economic tools with a goal of improving managerial decision-making. The course focuses on the linkage between economic analysis and strategic business management. Objectives for this course include:
1. Provide and in-depth understanding of factors that affect economic growth and business cycles.
2. Provide opportunities to link macro and international economic issues to business decision-making.
3. Provide tool and opportunities to analyze government economic policies on production, employment, inflation, and interest rates.
4. Develop ability to anticipate movements in trade, exchange rates, and globalization.
