Course Catalog Description:: Language and literature of Old Occitan (Old Proven[c]al), chiefly troubadours' songs. Some language instruction, reading of lyrics, consideration of social context, introduction to scholarly tradition. Knowledge of French, Spanish, Italian, or Latin desirable. Taught in English.
