- Class Description:
- A survey of Latin texts in a variety of genres beginning with Bede and focusing on the 8th through the 11th centuries. Readings will include history, biography, drama, lyric, hymns, and letters. We will also examine differences between classical and Medieval spelling, grammar, and idiom.
- Who Should Take This Class?:
- Undergraduates with at least two years of college level Latin and graduate students with some prior reading experience and an interest in Medieval topics.
